This section is for you to add a category, special offer or product to the shop-front (the home page) with a picture to display visually what you are selling, this will be the creation of a shelf in your shop.
You have the space to add two lines below the image you've chosen to represent the product/s on their designated shelf. It's entirely up to you if you want to make it a special offer, a category or just a simple product. Once you have completed this information and added your image, next fill in the 'description' box with relevant information. The reason for this is that when you've finished this administration section not only will your shop front be populated with the shelf, but you will also have created a 'shelf' in your virtual shop.
The term 'shelf' refers to a seperate page that will list all your products for the chosen category, special offers or product you created in the first instance. This way a customer can visit your shop, choose a shelf (from the image and two lines you've provided) and then view that section for the product they desire, like as if they just walked into your shop and walked down an aisle.
So let's create a shelf; it's title, description and picture which will appear on the shop front and also at the top of the shelf page, above it's products.
